Radiance at Ferry Beach March 29, 2024
The crisp Maine air, a cider's chill, Whispers through maples, leaves stand still. A fiery sunset paints the west, A canvas fading, colors blessed. Night drapes the coast, a velvet hush, Ocean's slow sigh, a gentle crush Of waves on shore, a rhythmic beat, Stars, shy pinpricks, start to greet. Then, from the inky ocean's rim, A sliver gleams, a pearlescent whim. The moon ascends, a luminous sphere, Full-orbed and bright, dispelling fear. It spills its light, a silver sheen, Across the waves, a moonlit scene. The Bay of Maine, a mirrored dream, Reflects the moon, a radiant gleam. The scent of woodsmoke fills the air, A bonfire's glow, a flickering prayer. The world transformed, a silvered spell, A perfect moment, time will tell. This peak of wonder, held so tight, A full moon rise on an autumn night. A memory etched, a brushstroke bold, The magic of Maine, a story told.
